ahhh nora lovely thank you sm for sending this in !!! adore writing for oscar so thank you for giving me the opportunity to 🤭🤭 this ended up being longer than i expected but what can i say i got carried away !!! hope you like this lovely

indistinct dialogue washes over you as your ears tune in to the sound of oscar’s heartbeat, the sound much more preferable to the drama of the characters currently on the screen in front of you. 

curled against your boyfriend’s chest, the glow of the television washing over you both and bathing you in a fuzzy, low light, you find it hard to keep your eyes open for longer than a minute at a time. 

oscar is just so warm, the fabric of his hoodie against your skin so soft, and you had woken up disgustingly early that morning for an eight am class that preceded a long study session at the library. so, it’s no surprise that your exhaustion is quickly catching up to you, a lion stalking its prey.

since his gaze has been resting on you rather than the random sit-com for the past ten minutes, oscar is quick to notice the drowsiness consuming your features. 

“let’s get you to bed, eh?” oscar asks, patting your side twice with the tips of his fingers to prompt you to stand.

“i’m not even that tired,” you protest, words coming out in a low whine thanks to your desperation to remain in the warm embrace of oscar’s arms.

“tell that to your eyes, sweetheart. they’re practically closed.”

almost on cue, you lift your hand to rub at your tired eyes before you stop abruptly, loose fist hovering just in front of your face. a frustrated noise escapes you, and your head falls back against oscar’s chest at the realisation.

“i still have to take my makeup off.”

oscar fixes you with a look of amused pity. though he’s clearly sympathetic to your plight, he’d be lying if he said he didn’t find your theatrics somewhat entertaining.

strong arms wrap around your waist, and oscar gently helps you to your feet, sending you off to bed with the promise that he’ll be right behind you.

curiosity picks at your mind, but you’re far too tired to argue or ask questions. your body operates on autopilot as it leads you down the hall to your bedroom, and you flop down onto the soft mattress without hesitation.

never had you been more thankful at oscar’s insistence that you wear his clothes as much as possible: already dressed in one of his old t-shirts and some pyjama shorts, getting changed into something cosier was not a problem you would have to tackle tonight.

oscar appears a few minutes later, and it seems that he’s brought the entirety of your skincare shelf with him. countless bottles and tubs are piled up in his arms, threatening to spill over as he fumbles towards the bed. 

with furrowed brows, oscar drops the bundle of products onto your comforter and lets out a breath, beginning to survey the many different items sitting in front of him. “right then, let’s see,” he mumbles, picking up one product at a time and scanning the labels with such an intensity that, had you the energy, you would have teased him for.

“moisturiser, no. facial scrub, no. hyaluronic aci- what even is this stuff?”

you can’t help it. a laugh bubbles up in your throat, and though your eyes are heavy with sleep, oscar can see the way that the crinkle slightly at the intensity of your smile.

as fun as it is to listen to oscar grow increasingly confused with each skincare product he scrutinises, you decide it’s best to put him out of his misery sooner rather than later. “purple bottle, babe. might wanna grab some cotton pads, too. next to where you grabbed everything else from.”

oscar follows your instructions instantly, setting your makeup remover off to the side before he scoops the other products up into his arms once more, heading to return them to their rightful home in your bathroom. he soon returns triumphant, holding up the packet of cotton pads in his left hand as though it’s one of his racing trophies.

idiot, you think fondly.

soon, he’s sitting beside you, tilting your face upwards towards him with two fingers. the movement is tender, and you can’t help but lean forward to press a kiss to the bridge of his nose.

with a level of care you imagine someone would reserve for a newborn, oscar begins to swipe away at your makeup, putting a lot of effort into not tugging at your skin.

every so often, he speaks, questions of “feel alright?” and “not hurting you, am i?” filling the otherwise peaceful silence. 

each time your answer is the same: a slight shake of the head with a reassuring hum. you’re convinced that oscar could never be anything but tender with you, and this only adds to your hypothesis. 

a few seconds pass, and you can no longer feel oscar wiping at your face. your eyes flutter open, greeted by the sight of oscar admiring you with an adoring expression.

a light flush dusts the top of his cheekbones, and his lips are pulled up into a foolish, love-sick grin. he doesn’t shy away when he realises he’s been caught, only moves to press a chaste kiss to your lips. “now,” he starts, voice playful. “wanna tell me what the next step is, babe?”

Where the hell is he.

Bakugou was watching the time go by and noticing how you were yet to be seen. Class had started 35 minutes ago and you usually were never late.

[8:20am]

“Alright, I’m going to take a break. Don’t destroy anything while I’m sleeping or I’ll have all of you taking a remedial class.” Mr. Aizawa never failed to come up with an outrageous punishment for his students, even now in university.

Bakugou glanced at the clock one more time before scoffing and getting up. Sero wanted to ask where he was headed but judging by the look on Bakugou’s face, Sero decided to value his life and dignity.

Once Bakugou turned the corner of the hall he ran into someone.

“All this space in the God damn hallway and you can’t-“ he looked down and noticed it was you. You looked like a mess.

Your breathing was frantic, hair sticking up like a compass in all directions. Your tie could’ve been put on backwards and your shirt was half tucked into your pants and half not.

Bakugou didn’t even know where to start with questions.

“You look like shit. What happened ?”

“My alarm.. I accidentally set it for 6:30pm and not am so I woke up like 20 minutes ago” your ears were facing down and your tail sunk. It was clear you rushed to get here and in the process made no effort to notice your appearance.

“Jesus. At least look alive.”

He stepped closer to you and began adjusting your tie. You felt your tail quirk up and immediately shoved it down, keeping your hands behind your back.

You couldn’t help but stare at him in admiration. He was so focused on your tie and your shirt you didn’t realize how beautiful he was until you really got a good look at him.

Your tie and shirt were not adjusted but that hair.

“A tornado pick you up on the way here ?” He grinned and you turned your head in embarrassment not realizing your hair looked that bad. He gently placed his hands on certain strands to make it look more decent.

In response, your ears shot up and now your tail wagging back and forth. You were too in awe to realize it, at least not until he pointed it out.

His eyebrow quirked up. “You excited or sum ?” He asked but didn’t stop fixing your hair.

“What ?”

“Your tail’s movin”

You felt your face heat up like a star when he pointed it out. You looked down, no longer wanting to meet his gaze.

“Sorry, that happens when I’m happy or excited”

“Really ?” And he pulled back after taking in your appearance. A small grin on his face.

“Looks like your gonna have to come in late more often then” and with that he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked away.

Thank God he did because the way your tail stood on its end and your ears perked up, someone would think you just won a million bucks.

First, I hope you are feeling better. Second, you may not post this because it does contain something about a “sensitive topic” but I really hope you do because I feel like we need to hold people accountable.

People are no longer speculating about N & L, people are speaking with the authority of fact. People are speaking like they talk to N & L on the phone every night. It’s found across all SM platforms. Saying things like … I know Luke organized papwalk, Luke hates bridgerton and wants to be bigger than Rege & JB and that’s why he organized papwalk to Nic and her body. People have loss decorum and people are treating N & L like puppets and some fans think they control their lives and if they do not do what they want, N & L are the villains. You said it best in an older post, everybody wants to be right, but at what expense!! Some called fans comment on Nic’s body and speak as though they have facts about her life. And saying things like there is a 1% chance they are wrong. That’s the freaking scientific method margin of error!! I am so glad Nic told the story on how she got to the GN show. Now the real question, will these people finally stop commenting on her body?? Will they actually admit THEY WERE WRONG or will they just continue to diminish Nic ‘s character and say, this was a lie told by her for the show just to keep up with their rude theories.

And Luke, so many people want to just vilianize him. Make him the bad guy. Is he perfect, no. Nobody is perfect. But what has he done to receive this level of hate?? You would have thought he kicked somebodies puppy. And I love seeing post like…. This is how I would have launched. Last time I checked, nobody on this site is a celebrity. We have never been in a situation like this before. Give the man some grace. If you don’t like him, move on.

as 2024 comes to a close, we take time to reflect on it.

i was able to make new friends, i was able to strengthen the bonds with current friends, i was even able to create with friends. 2024 was a year full of ups and downs, and plenty of moments with my head in my hands, but hopefully, it's a year i can look back on and be happy with. i laughed, i cried, i screamed, i joked, i overcame fears, i did a lot of things. i'm a sappy person, but yet, i find it hard to describe all the emotions i felt this year.

either way, thank you all for being a part of my 2024, and i can't wait for us to explore 2025 ♡

A chilling snarl rang through the blizzard air outside, threatening to nip at them more than already. The winters are always brutal, but thankfully the fireplace in this cabin provides enough warmth to keep them calm...

Annie didn't know how all of this happened, so fast too... hours ago she was beside her fellow Warriors, but the storm came near instantly, strong, blistering winds. They were powerful enough to push back even a big fellow like Reiner... Which means, poor, petite, and seemingly frail Armin who was tasked to their squad today stood no chance as he was knocked down effortlessly.

She too had almost fallen aback, but Reiner prevented her slip up. The loud gasp of Armin rang so clearly, complimented by a shout of Bertolt as he tried to help the smaller blond from rolling down the hill they just climbed.

Annie heard his cries and as if instincts took over her body, she broke away from Reiner's admittedly friendly gesture, dashing to Armin down the hill...

Now, here she is... alone with Armin as he lay in bed, while she sits in a chair and watches over him. Reiner and Bertolt had already left for help... but they're overreacting, Armin isn't so weak that a cold would kill him.

... Besides, isn't he 'just an island devil'? They both continually told themselves that... so why would they go through the effort to rescue someone so apparently evil?

Annie's icy blue eyes opened, focusing on the resting face of Armin before her, he suffered a few scratches, but nothing that time won't naturally heal. He's wrapped up in every blanket they could manage to find in this cabin, no doubt stored here by the higher ups in the Military. Probably Shadis.

She squinted softly, merely watching the blond haired boy breathe so gently as he slept... he was rendered unconscious when he fell. Armin looks so at peace, so relaxed... so...

Angelic.

How his long, thick locks of hair trail his cheeks, his button nose with a pink tinge... This is no devil, no... she's long since realized that Armin is the opposite of that.

For the warmth that Armin exudes could only come from an angel.

"... Ugh." Annie sighed, lowering her head. She had discarded her winter coat minutes ago, finding her hoodie and the nearby flame to be enough... and of course, the boy before her.

Damn him. When did this stupid crush develop? Why? It's only going to make her future more complicated! Why couldn't she just-

"... A-Annie?"

A stilted breath choked out of her, Annie's vision reconnecting with the soft featured face of the fellow blond... now welcomed by his dark, crystal blue orbs. Armin's eyes were like a hypnotic enigma. Gazing into them causes her to lose sense, rendered unable to easily look away... while he undoubtably stares back, the gears of his brilliance turning.

"Hi..." She muttered, hiding her relieved smile due to his awakening.

The boy blinked curiously, "Hi... w-where are we? A cabin... wh-why am I so... wrapped up?" Armin inquired, noting how hard it is for him to even move his arms, these blanks are tight. And why is Annie sitting on a chair? What happened to Reiner and Bertolt?

"The blizzard outside... you were knocked off your feet and fell down that big hill... by the time I got to you, well, you were already unconscious. So, here we are. You and I. The other two bozos went to look for help but, I think we're okay..." Annie maintained her stoic gaze and almost monotone way of speaking.

Annie blinked, her eyes had widened upon hearing those words... "... Yeah, don't mention it. Rest up." She shifted her gaze away and to the flames in the fireplace, wanting to hide away. Be it due to her feelings or her guilt for what she is, it was impossible to tell.

Yet, after a few minutes, when she returned her gaze to Armin's resting face. She smiled too.

Perhaps... if a monster watches over an angel, can even she receive forgiveness one day?

He is gentle and genuine and just so real. When he tells us he's a human being he also shows it to us. He's not flawless and he isn't afraid to show us that either. He is a superstar with a heart of gold and some child like mannerisms. A pure soul. And I think that is partially the reason that millions of people will just sit there and watch him sleep for over 20 minutes.

Anyway, do you have any tips to get consistent at drawing? Where does your inspiration usually come from?

So for tips on how to stay consistent for me I will be honest and say that it’s quite hard not to get bored. I normally turn on the tv and watch a good show while I am drawing and that’s for keeping me in the zone. A lot of the time I give myself hours of break time to let myself to enjoy other things and just let myself refresh.

A lot of the time I scour Pinterest. It’s literally my number one place to look for poses and art references I use. I even look at other fan art for inspiration and create my own style inspired by different artists art style or the way they design certain characters.

Or I will get bursts of inspiration for different characters just from my own imagination. I like to call them aus in my head because I can make a character I like into an OC of sorts and I just play around. The thought process is simply “oh what would they look like as…” or “oh it would be cool if-” hit in order to map out my ideas I do always go back to Pinterest to help with the composition and the visualization of the ideas.

For the actual art I have since I was in 5th grade tried to try new art styles and I had a problem with “mimicking” art styles which I’m glad I got over in order to find my own personal art style. It can be hard to stay consistent especially when you’re new to art because for me it’s the urge to do better and practice.

This may sound like a repetitive statement but it’s true. I practice so much. Like my entire art history is just so much practice. It doesn’t have to be all day everyday but if you spend your time studying the anatomy of art or the lighting, shading, composition, etc your art will get better and more consistent I promise. I look at old art and I see how bad it is and two years from now I hope I also improve.

This was probably more than what was asked but I actually finding the will to do it and practicing makes it easier and better. It also helps of you’re drawing something you’re hyper fixating on! It makes me more engaged and I see all these characters and I’m like I GOTTA DRAW THEM NOW!!!

I NEED TO GET MY TC FEELINGS OFF MY CHEST, I HAVE TERRIBLE TASTE AND HE’S AWFUL 😭 💀

I’m an adult, and I have a professor who will be teaching me for 2 more semesters at the college I attend, the subject is niche and he’s somewhere in the 50-60 year old range but HE’S SINGLE AND HE’S SO FINEEE I AM GOING TO EXPLODE

I keep thinking he’s into me, because in front of the whole class he regularly teases the guy who visibly likes me, and then he looks my way and laughs; he always makes fun of that guy for copying my answers and sitting super close to me (the girlies are always fighting!! and by girlies I mean the 21 year old and the senior citizen)

This professor is notorious for being a dick but he’s always unusually nice to me, he tends to answer students’ questions in unhelpful, roundabout ways, but whenever I ask him something he always gives me such an elaborate answer; he’s so curt and to the point, but with me he’s always YAPPINGGG I love him sm

There have been a few times where I was panicking in his class because of how stressful and intense the drills/material can get, and I think he’s noticed bc he would skip calling on me and come back to me when there was an easier question I could answer, it was almost sweet but this man is NOT a sweet person, most of his students verifiably want to launch him into the sun via catapult, but I just want to give him a smooch on the cheek tbh

Also, every so often, the eye contact between us gets CRAZYYY he teaches a certain sub-category of the main topic of the class sometimes, and I’m really into it and he KNOWS I’m really into it, so when he’s teaching it I can feel him almost staring into my soul, but idk if that’s bc he’s into me or if it’s bc I’m the only student that cares that much

I’m already hyping myself up to ask to hug him on our last day of class together, even though that isn’t until a YEAR from now, but I just want to hold him, I bet he gives the worst, most uncomfortable hugs on the planet but I don’t care I just need himmm

I might draw something really elaborate for him over the break, relating to that sub-category I mentioned earlier, and give it to him with the excuse that I was practicing drawing for my upcoming drawing course

Anyways I miss my old unpleasant man, thank you for letting me scream about him

First to find out: the player character, while travelling w Arven for the titan quest!! Though if you wanna get technical about it, the professors Do Also Know. It's probably a lot of connecting two and two. Arven stopped showing up to school around about the same time as rumours started spreading of a monster in mesagoza. He's been camping in the paldean wilderness to try and draw less attention to himself. In an rp w a pal, we had the player character discover his empty tent in the middle of the night, only for arven to return in the early morning, looking dishevelled.

His pokemon know, but for the most part he keeps them in their pokeballs. Rascal (mabosstiff) has known ever since arven was a kid, and was a main protective force throughout his life. He would be there to protect and calm him when he transformed. When Rascal got sick, that was the first time arven discovered he'd gone on a "rampage", and the rumours started spreading. I don't think he initially knows it was Rascal who was keeping him from running wild.

Pokemon hybrids aren't common in this au but arven definitely isn't alone!! And not all of it comes from the same source. In Arven's case, he initially believed it to be caused by terastal energy exposure from a young age, but later he finds out about a paradox lycanroc who was summoned through the time machine and attacked him as a child. Its bites had the ability to curse humans. This lycanroc was mentioned in the scar/vio book and is the source of the term "lycanthropy" in this au!! Other causes can be things like divine intervention (Arceus pointed at someone and decided they were gonna be part pokemon), genetics, various environmental factors, basically using the logic of "humans are adjacent to pokemon and sometimes the wires get crossed". Another hybrid in this au is Hassel, who (and this hc was also provided by a friend) is part dragonite, as part of his noble lineage that is mentioned in the game. At some point in the au arven is able to confide in hassel about his situation, so at least he has one supportive adult in his life.

I was wondering what your insights are regarding the artmaking process and social media / the void of the internet.

Lately I've been feeling like all of my inspiration comes from tumblr, which is nice, because I create a true feed of things i really do find inspiring, but it feels like all it does though is feed into itself- i find my practice becomes extinguished when I think too hard about what I make and try to synthesize all my inspirations down into a lovely simmer.

All in all...

What do you do to keep your artistic practice healthy/strong? Is there any way that it relates to the internet/ goes away from the internet? And any advice for a healthy balance between a practice that is both informed by the internet but keeps a healthy distance?

no need to apologize i love this Q 🙏 i totally understand, i love tumblr but i barely look at my dashboard anymore, out of the whole day i scroll maybe 10-20 minutes total lol, and its kinda forced cus cus i dont wanna fall out of touch w friends .. some insight on this -

dont get me wrong tumblr has brought me a lot of visual inspo over time but at this point in my life i am really obsessed w being in my own energy -w- And enforcing boundaries between my own thoughts/feelings + those of others. the more disconnected i am the more inspired i naturally feel

one of my biggest inspo is hilma af klint, and her methods of channeling, is how i try to draw now. i have found ways i can ~empty my vessel~ until visions start coming thru, which i believe r from my angel guides. thats actually a huge reason y im quitting weed lol i care a lot about being as receptive as possible. walking outside rly helps stuff come thru, as well as yoga, i get crazy ass vividness visuals during yoga !!

another thing thats a fun exercise is like, closing your eyes & watching the fractals on ur eyelids to see what apeears. i always loved doing this as a child! also stuff like, staring at the ceiling until forms appear, staring at tree bark or cracks in the cement. i have been doing this stuff my whole life but recently i heard this can be a method of channeling :o

also this is maybe an obvious one but listening to music while drawing can really help ignite a flow state, maybe a word in the lyrics will stand out to u and send ur mind on a visual path, reading does this for me too, language rly helps me generate pictures in abstract ways not directly related to what's being said/written

ultimately just practice going inwards & getting into flow state , watever method of getting there works for u, keep practicing ,it gets easier w time

But yeah the internet is really not part of my creative process at all anymore, other than to share my work. its just too overwhelming to my senses. i enjoy making art sm more now that ive distanced myself. thats just wat works for me ^-^
